Company Overview
A trusted bridge between farmers and genuine inputs
Founded in 2017 and officially registered in 2023, Jather Farmers (U) Ltd is a women-led agribusiness recognised by Uganda's Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) and key industry partners. Headquartered on Olwol Road in Lira City, with a liaison office in Loro Town Council, we serve farmers across Lango, Acholi and parts of South Sudan.
The problem
Farmers deserve better inputs
Over 80% of Ugandans depend on agriculture as their main source of income. Yet smallholder farmers routinely face:
- Counterfeit and substandard agro-inputs
- High, unpredictable input prices
- Limited access to extension and advisory services
- Long travel distances to reach reliable suppliers
Our solution
Authentic inputs, real guidance
Jather Farmers sources authentic inputs from certified agents and backs every sale with a team of field agronomists who deliver practical, on-farm guidance.
- Certified, verified seeds, fertilizers & pesticides
- A registered network of agents, sub-agents & stockists
- Field-level extension & climate-smart training
- One-stop access close to where farmers live and work
Our Vision
To transform smallholder farming into a sustainable, profitable and climate-smart enterprise that uplifts livelihoods and strengthens communities.
